NyssaStorm Issues: SeRP titling 0 Sep 25 2008, 12:15 PM EDT by NyssaStorm

To Whom it May concern:

How/who decides the titles of these big subjects? Ex: I've seen "mortgage bailout" financial, Wall Street Bailout, Wall St. Bailout, and Financial Crisis. Many times I have a very difficult time in trying to suggest a good link but don't know how to choose and/or create a proper SeRP heading. suggestions. I always try to search the site to see if someone already suggested the link and under what subject title it may go on. (why create more work for someone, when it is not needed right.) I don't find anything, wind up creating another page and two days later find the link on a differently titled SeRP. I put in extra time so someone else doesn't have to and wind up creating a useless/redundant SeRP which in turn may be creating extra work for someone anyway.

Any suggestions?

This will be a process description. So hang in there with me.

In search field you start typing in your search term. Mahalo suggestions start showing up in a drop down menu. The term shows up in suggestions at the top and IS highlighted. You hit enter. HOWEVER, only the partial term you entered is registered and you come up with a useless page. If you type in a whole word it works fine. Also, when you do arrow down to grab the first term the highlight Skips Over the first one to the second and you wanted the first so now you have to go back up.

Suggestions:
So don't highlight word in drop down unless it is going to go through (register) that way.
Force the user to arrow down to select the term.

This is from the user's point of view. Maybe it may seem minor, but for a regular user (and I believe you want regular users and researchers) or wannabe regular, this can become VERY annoying and time loss frustration. I want my searches to be seemless and uninterrupted by minor glitches that would interrupt the research thought process (which one can be 'in the zone' as well)

Being able to Challenge a "Decline":

I know this may become cumbersome. Now, I'm not talking about declinations because of new sites, too many adds, or unstable sites. My concern is with maybe an oversite by the site screener or them not really following through completely. I know there are many sites to sort through. But very good data/connections can be lost in this process. Having them declined from the site permanently if they may not have been screened thoroughly can become an issue.
